Yorku Important Dates for Fall 2025

The following are the Yorku term dates for Fall 2025 from the Yorku Important Dates Schedule for 2025–2026.

1. The application to graduate for the October 2025 Convocation opens on Thursday, May 1, 2025, and the deadline is Thursday, July 31, 2025.
2. The application to graduate for the February 2026 Convocation opens on Friday, August 1, 2025, and the deadline is Friday, October 31, 2025.
3. Labour Day will be observed on Monday, September 1, 2025, and the university will be closed.
4. Fall term (Term F) and Year term (Term Y) classes begin on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.
5. The final date to add a Fall or Year course without the permission of the instructor is Tuesday, September 16, 2025.
6. The final date to add a Fall course with instructor permission is Tuesday, September 23, 2025.
7. The final date to add a Year course with instructor permission is Tuesday, September 30, 2025.
8. Tuition and fees for Fall and Year course enrolments, as well as program-based undergraduate programs, are due on Wednesday, September 10, 2025.
9. The first half of the residence and meal plan fees is also due on Wednesday, September 10, 2025.
10. The recommended date to apply for Fall-only or Fall/Winter OSAP and to submit supporting documents is Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
11. The deadline for reassessment at the domestic tuition rate for the current Fall/Winter session is Friday, October 31, 2025.
12. Thanksgiving Day will be observed on Monday, October 13, 2025, and the university will be closed.
13. The Yorku Fall 2025 Reading Week will take place from Saturday, October 11, to Friday, October 17, 2025.
14. The application to graduate for the June 2026 Convocation opens on Saturday, November 1, 2025, and the deadline is Sunday, March 1, 2026.
15. The drop deadline to withdraw from a Fall course or Year course without receiving a grade is Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
16. The Fall course withdrawal period, during which a student will receive a grade of “W” on the transcript, runs from Wednesday, November 5, to Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
17. Fall classes for Term F and Term Y end on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
18. The Fall Study Day is scheduled for Wednesday, December 3, 2025.
19. The Fall examination period will run from Thursday, December 4, to Friday, December 19, 2025.
20. The university will be closed for Winter Break from Wednesday, December 24, 2025, to Thursday, January 1, 2026.
21. New Year’s Day will be observed on Thursday, January 1, 2026, and the university will be closed.

1. The university will reopen on Friday, January 2, 2026.
2. Winter term (Term W) classes begin on Monday, January 5, 2026.
3. Winter term tuition fees are due on Saturday, January 10, 2026.
4. The second half of the residence and meal plan fees is also due on Saturday, January 10, 2026.
5. The final date to add a Winter term course without instructor permission is Thursday, January 15, 2026.
6. The final date to add a Winter course with instructor permission is Monday, January 26, 2026.
7. The deadline for reassessment at the domestic tuition rate for the current Winter term is Saturday, January 31, 2026.
8. Family Day will be observed on Monday, February 16, 2026, and the university will be closed.
9. The Yorku Winter 2026 Reading Week will take place from Saturday, February 14, to Friday, February 20, 2026.
10. The drop deadline to withdraw from a Year course without receiving a grade is Tuesday, February 3, 2026.
11. The Winter course withdrawal period, during which a grade of “W” will appear on transcripts, runs from Wednesday, February 4, to Monday, April 6, 2026.
12. Winter classes end on Monday, April 6, 2026.
13. The Winter Study Day is scheduled for Tuesday, April 7, 2026.
14. Good Friday will be observed on Friday, April 3, 2026; no classes will be held, and a makeup day using the Friday schedule is set for Monday, April 6, 2026.
15. The Winter examination period runs from Wednesday, April 8, to Friday, April 24, 2026.
