The ASU Academic Calendar 2026-2027 includes important dates and deadlines for the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.

Each semester is divided into Sessions A, B, and C.

The ASU Sessions Calendar breaks each semester into shorter time blocks to give students flexibility:

Session A and Session B are half‑semester terms, each lasting around 7.5 weeks during fall and spring (6 weeks in summer), covering the same material as a full‑semester course but in a shorter time frame.

Session C is the full‑semester option (15 weeks plus finals in fall/spring; 8 weeks in summer).

So if you take, say, two A‑session courses and two B‑session courses, it’s the equivalent of four full-semester C courses, but with a more focused, accelerated schedule and varied start/end dates that can help balance your workload.

Arizona State University operates on a semester system. It features two main semesters: Fall and Spring, each spanning about 15 weeks (with finals), plus a shorter Summer term.
