TTU Academic Calendar Fall 2025

1. Ninety-five percent of the payment of mandatory tuition and fees or enrollment in a payment plan is due on Wednesday, August 20, 2025; registrations made after this date require immediate payment or enrollment. Faculty are required to report for duty on this day.
2. Residence halls open for move-in on Thursday, August 21, 2025; a timeslot is required, and select Hospitality Services dining locations will also open.
3. Classes begin on Monday, August 25, 2025, and all Hospitality Services dining locations will be open. It is the first day of classes.
4. The last day for student-initiated addition of a course via MyTech is Thursday, August 28, 2025.
5. Beginning Friday, August 29, 2025, advisor permission is required to add a course, and this requirement continues through Thursday, September 4, 2025.
6. The university will be closed in observance of the Labor Day holiday on Monday, September 1, 2025; only limited dining locations will be available.
7. The last day for graduate degree candidates to apply to graduate with the Graduate School is Friday, September 5, 2025; instructor and advisor permission will be required to add a course through Wednesday, September 10, 2025.
8. The last day for student-initiated course drops via MyTech without academic penalty is Wednesday, September 10, 2025; this is also the final day to drop a course and have course charges removed, to withdraw from the university with all charges removed (financial penalties apply after this date), and to change a major or transfer between colleges for the current term.
9. Student-initiated course drops made on or after Thursday, September 11, 2025, will count against the drop limit.
10. The last day to withdraw from the university and receive 50% of charges removed is Monday, September 22, 2025; this is also the final day to receive a prorated Housing and Dining Plan refund and to change the on-campus Dining Plan level for fall.
11. The course roster and non-attendance review period for faculty begins on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.
12. The last day for doctoral and master’s thesis students to submit the Thesis-Dissertation Defense Notification Form is Wednesday, September 24, 2025.
13. Midterm grading opens for faculty on Monday, October 13, 2025.
14. The last day for degree candidates and faculty to order commencement invitations and academic regalia at the bookstore is Wednesday, October 22, 2025.
15. The last day for graduate degree candidates to defend theses and dissertations is Friday, October 24, 2025; this is also the last day for non-thesis master’s candidates to complete the comprehensive evaluation.
16. Midterm grades are due via Raiderlink by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 27, 2025.
17. The final day for graduate degree candidates to submit the final PDF of the thesis or dissertation to the ETD website is Friday, October 31, 2025; this is also the deadline to submit the Oral Defense and Thesis-Dissertation Approval Form, and for M.M./D.M.A. candidates to post recital program PDFs and submit recordings.
18. Advance registration for Spring 2026 and Summer 2026 for currently enrolled students begins on Monday, November 3, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., and continues through Friday, November 14, 2025.
19. The last day to remove grades of I, PR, or CR in the Graduate School is Monday, November 10, 2025; official reports on Interdisciplinary Portfolios (non-thesis master’s) and final comprehensive evaluations are also due to the Graduate School on this date; it is also the final day for graduate candidates to pay thesis-dissertation fees.
20. Advance registration for Spring and Summer 2026 ends on Friday, November 14, 2025.
21. Open registration for Spring and Summer 2026 begins on Monday, November 17, 2025; this is also the last day for student-initiated course drops via MyTech (drops made count against the drop limit), the last day to withdraw from the university with no refunds issued, and the final day to declare pass/fail intentions.
22. A period of no examinations, except for makeup or scheduled lab exams, will occur from Tuesday, November 25, through Thursday, December 4, 2025.
23. TTU Thanksgiving Break 2025 will be observed from Wednesday, November 26, through Sunday, November 30, 2025; no meals will be available from November 27 through November 30, and residence hall offices will reopen at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 30, 2025. Classes resume on Monday, December 1, 2025, and Raiderlink grading opens; grades for degree candidates are due by noon on Thursday, December 11, 2025.
24. The last day for undergraduate degree candidates to remove grades of I and PR, and the last day of classes, is Wednesday, December 3, 2025.
25. Thursday, December 4, 2025, is designated as an individual study day; late-night pancakes will be available for on-campus residents.
26. Final examinations will take place from Friday, December 5, through Saturday, December 6, and from Monday, December 8, through Wednesday, December 10, 2025; on-campus residents must move out within 24 hours of their last final or by 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2025.
27. The Carol of Lights event will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2025.
28. The fall semester ends on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.
29. Residence halls will close at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2025; graduating residents with approval must move out by Sunday, December 14, 2025; this is also the last day for most dining locations and the deadline for grades for graduating students to be submitted via Raiderlink by noon.
30. TTU Commencement ceremonies will be held on Friday, December 12, and Saturday, December 13, 2025.
31. Final grades are due via Raiderlink by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 15, 2025; grades submitted after 5:00 p.m. will require grade change forms and associate dean approval.

TTU Academic Calendar Spring 2026

2. Residence halls open for Spring Move-In on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.; select Hospitality Services dining locations also open for service.
3. Faculty report for duty on Monday, January 12, 2026.
4. Classes begin on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. It is the first day of classes.
5. The university will observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, January 19, 2026; this is a university holiday with modified dining hours.
6. The last day for student-initiated addition of a course via MyTech is Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
7. Advisor permission is required to add a course beginning Wednesday, January 21, 2026, through Monday, January 26, 2026.
8. Instructor and advisor permission are required to add a course from Tuesday, January 27, 2026, through Friday, January 30, 2026.
9. The last day for student-initiated course drops via MyTech without academic penalty is Friday, January 30, 2026; these drops do not count against the drop limit, and all drops are the responsibility of the student.
10. Friday, January 30, 2026, is also the last day to drop a course and have course charges removed. Students wishing to drop to zero hours must submit a withdrawal request online. Financial penalties apply for withdrawals after this date.
11. The last day to withdraw from the university and have all charges removed is Friday, January 30, 2026.
12. The last day to change a major or transfer between colleges for the current term is also Friday, January 30, 2026.
13. Student-initiated course drops made on or after Saturday, January 31, 2026, will count against the drop limit, and all drops remain the student’s responsibility.
14. The last day for graduate degree candidates to apply to graduate with the Graduate School is Friday, February 6, 2026.
15. The last day to withdraw from the university and have 50% of charges removed is Wednesday, February 11, 2026.
16. Wednesday, February 11, 2026, is also the final day to receive a prorated Housing and Dining Plan refund and to change the on-campus Dining Plan level for the spring semester.
17. The last day for doctoral and master’s thesis students to submit the Thesis-Dissertation Defense Notification Form is Wednesday, February 11, 2026.
18. Faculty must complete the course roster and non-attendance review by Thursday, February 12, 2026.

Classes resume on Monday, March 23, 2026, and Hospitality Services dining locations resume normal hours after the Texas Tech Spring Break 2026.
22. The last day for degree candidates and faculty to order invitations and academic regalia at the bookstore is Wednesday, March 25, 2026.
23. Midterm grades are due via Raiderlink by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.
24. The last day for graduate degree candidates to defend theses or dissertations is Friday, March 27, 2026; this is also the last day for non-thesis master’s students to complete comprehensive evaluations.
25. The final PDF of theses and dissertations must be submitted to the Graduate School by Friday, April 3, 2026.
26. Friday, April 3, 2026, is also the last day to submit the Oral Defense and Thesis-Dissertation Approval Form and for M.M. and D.M.A. candidates to upload recital program PDFs to the ETD website and submit recital recordings.
27. There are no classes on Monday, April 6, 2026; university employees are on duty, and Hospitality Services will operate on a modified dining schedule.
28. Advance registration for Fall 2026 begins at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 13, 2026, and continues through Friday, April 24, 2026.
29. The last day to remove grades of I, PR, or CR in the Graduate School is Friday, April 17, 2026; this does not apply to PR/CR grades from previous thesis or dissertation enrollments.
30. The final day for graduate degree candidates to pay thesis-dissertation fees posted to their Banner account is Thursday, April 23, 2026.
31. Thursday, April 23, 2026, is also the due date for official reports on Interdisciplinary Portfolios (non-thesis master’s) and for results of final comprehensive evaluations to be submitted to the Graduate School.
32. The last day of advance registration for Fall 2026 is Friday, April 24, 2026.
33. Open registration for Fall 2026 begins on Monday, April 27, 2026.
34. Monday, April 27, 2026, is also the final day to declare pass/fail intentions, to drop a course via MyTech with academic penalty (counts against the drop limit), and to withdraw from the university; all tuition and fees are still due in full, and no refunds will be issued.
35. A period of no examinations, except for makeup exams or scheduled lab exams, will occur from Thursday, April 30, 2026, through Wednesday, May 6, 2026.
36. Raiderlink becomes available for grade submissions on Monday, May 4, 2026; grades for degree candidates are due by noon on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.
37. The last day for undergraduate degree candidates to remove grades of I and PR, and the last day of classes, is Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
38. Wednesday, May 6, 2026, is designated as an individual study day; late-night pancakes will be available for on-campus residents.
39. Final examinations will take place from Thursday, May 7, through Saturday, May 9, and from Monday, May 11, through Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
40. The spring semester ends on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
41. Residence halls close at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2026; graduating residents with prior approval must move out by Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. This is also the final day for most dining locations, and grades for graduating students are due via Raiderlink by noon.
42. TTU Commencement ceremonies will be held on Friday, May 15, and Saturday, May 16, 2026; graduating residents with prior approval must move out by Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
43. Final grades for the semester are due via Raiderlink by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2026; grades submitted after this time must be submitted as grade changes and require review and approval from the associate academic dean’s office.
