UTA Academic Calendar Fall 2026

  1. Registration for the Summer 2026 and Fall 2026 terms begins on Monday, April 6, 2026.
  2. Registration ends for the Fall term regular session on Sunday, August 16, 2026.
  3. The first day of classes is Monday, August 17, 2026.
  4. Late registration takes place from Monday, August 17, 2026, through Friday, August 21, 2026.
  5. The census date is Tuesday, September 1, 2026.
  6. Labor Day is observed as a holiday on Monday, September 7, 2026.
  7. The last day to drop classes is Friday, October 30, 2026, and students must submit their requests in MyMav prior to 4:00 p.m.
  8. Registration for the Spring 2027 term begins on Monday, November 2, 2026.
  9. No classes are scheduled on Wednesday, November 25, 2026.
  10. The Thanksgiving holiday is observed on Thursday, November 26, 2026, and Friday, November 27, 2026.
  11. The last day of classes is Tuesday, December 1, 2026.
  12. Student Study Day is observed with no classes on Wednesday, December 2, 2026.
  13. Commencement ceremonies are held on Wednesday, December 2, 2026.
  14. Final examinations are held on Thursday, December 3, 2026; Friday, December 4, 2026; Saturday, December 5, 2026; Monday, December 7, 2026; Tuesday, December 8, 2026; and Wednesday, December 9, 2026.
  15. The official last day of the term is Wednesday, December 9, 2026.
  16. Final grades are due on Monday, December 14, 2026.

  4. Late registration takes place from Monday, January 11, 2027, through Friday, January 15, 2027.
  5. Martin Luther King Jr. Day is observed as a holiday on Monday, January 18, 2027.
  6. The census date is Wednesday, January 27, 2027.
  7. UTA Spring vacation 2026 is observed from Monday, March 8, 2027, through Friday, March 12, 2027.
