UNR Academic Calendar Spring 2027

1. The final day to apply for a change of residency for the Spring Semester is Friday, January 8, 2027.
2. The Spring Semester faculty reporting date is Monday, January 11, 2027.
3. The new graduate student orientation and reception will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2027.
4. Spring Semester fees are due on Friday, January 15, 2027, which is also the final day to pay all fees without incurring late payment charges.
5. The first payment for students enrolled in a payment plan is due on Friday, January 15, 2027.
6. The final day for initial registration is Friday, January 15, 2027.
7. The application deadline for returning student applicants is to be announced (TBA).
8. The application deadline for Graduate Special students is to be announced (TBA).
9. The date for the in-person new student orientation is to be announced (TBA).
10. Late payment fees will be assessed beginning Saturday, January 16, 2027.
11. The date on which residence halls open is to be announced (TBA).
12. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, with the campus closed and no classes held, is Monday, January 18, 2027.
13. The first day of Spring Semester classes is Tuesday, January 19, 2027.
14. The final day to add or swap classes without instructor permission is Monday, January 25, 2027.
15. The final day to receive a 100% refund when dropping individual classes is Thursday, January 28, 2027.
16. The final day to change from a letter grade to S/U, from S/U to a letter grade, or to audit a course is Thursday, January 28, 2027.
17. The final day to add or swap classes with instructor permission is Thursday, January 28, 2027.
18. No refunds will be issued after Thursday, January 28, 2027, unless a student completely withdraws from the University, at which point a 50% refund period begins.
19. Presidents’ Day, with the campus closed and no classes held, is Monday, February 15, 2027.
20. The second payment for students enrolled in a payment plan is due on Monday, February 15, 2027.
21. The final day to receive a 50% refund when completely withdrawing from the University is Saturday, February 27, 2027.
22. The deadline to apply for May graduation is to be announced (TBA).
23. The third payment for students enrolled in a payment plan is due on Monday, March 15, 2027.
24. Summer Session registration begins on Monday, March 15, 2027.
25. Spring Break, during which the campus remains open but no classes are held, runs from Saturday, March 20, 2027, through Sunday, March 28, 2027.
26. The final day to drop classes and receive a “W” grade is Tuesday, March 30, 2027.
27. The final day to change a course from credit to audit is Tuesday, March 30, 2027.
28. Individual classes may not be dropped after Tuesday, March 30, 2027.
29. Fall Semester enrollment begins on Thursday, April 1, 2027.
30. The fourth and final payment for students enrolled in a payment plan is due on Thursday, April 15, 2027.
31. The final day for doctoral students being hooded to submit a Notice of Completion to the Graduate School is to be announced (TBA).
32. Prep Day is Wednesday, May 5, 2027.
33. Finals week begins on Thursday, May 6, 2027.
34. The final day to submit a thesis, dissertation, and Notice of Completion to the Graduate School for May graduation is to be announced (TBA).
35. Instruction ends on Wednesday, May 12, 2027.
36. The date for on-campus residence hall move-out, which takes place at 11:00 a.m., is to be announced (TBA).
37. Commencement will be held from Thursday, May 13, 2027, through Saturday, May 15, 2027.
38. Faculty must post final grades in MyNEVADA by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 17, 2027.
39. The Spring Semester ends, and it is the last day for faculty to be on campus for the semester, on Monday, May 17, 2027.
