This applies only to students already living on campus for Summer Session II; it does not apply to incoming students arriving for the first time.

Corps of Cadets Drop-Off Timing

Corps of Cadets residents transitioning from summer housing may drop off belongings in their Corps space on Thursday, August 6, 2026, between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., but may not stay overnight in that space at that time.

How to Schedule a TAMU Move-In Appointment

Skipping the orientation step blocks scheduler access entirely — orientation completion is a hard prerequisite, not a recommendation.

Residence Hall Packing List

Approved Appliances and Electronics

Air fryers, coffee makers (2–4 cups), crock pots, microwaves (700 watts maximum), refrigerators (4.4 cubic feet maximum), and rice cookers are permitted. Electronics allowances include a bicycle with lock, desk lamp, flashlight, first-aid kit, and a fan- or water-based essential oil diffuser with automatic shutoff.

Bedding and Linen Specifications

Residence hall mattresses measure 36 inches by 77 inches (extra-long twin); apartment mattresses measure 54 inches by 75 inches (full XL). Bedding purchases should match the assigned unit type rather than a standard twin or full size, since standard sizing will not fit either configuration correctly.

Apartment Packing Differences (White Creek and Gardens)

Apartments permit toasters, toaster ovens, and sandwich makers, which residence halls prohibit. Apartments do not permit window or room air conditioning units or personal ceiling fans, since climate control is centrally provided in those units. The following are not permitted in residence halls or apartments: candles, camping stoves, electric skillets, griddles and grills (including George Foreman-type, charcoal, or propane), halogen lamps, hot oil popcorn poppers, space heaters, nails for wall hangings, pets (outside approved service/assistance animals), extension cords or power strips without built-in circuit breakers, and wireless routers not issued by the university.

Residence halls additionally prohibit toasters, sandwich makers, hot plates, pressure cookers, and induction-type cookers. Weapons are prohibited except handguns as permitted under Texas state law.

Corps of Cadets (Fish Orientation Week) Packing List

FOW packing requirements differ substantially from general residence hall lists, reflecting uniform and inspection standards: white twin-size bedding (two sets, 36-inch by 77-inch mattress), black or brown belt, blue denim jeans, black athletic shorts without pockets, white crew-neck T-shirts, black shoe-appropriate socks and white athletic mid-calf socks, a foot locker with lock (approximately 16 by 16 by 30 inches), and required medications with a first-aid kit including moleskin. Cooking appliances, coffee makers, microwaves, refrigerators, and furniture are not permitted in FOW packing.

Move-In Volunteers (Aug 18–22, 8 am–2 pm)

Do Freshmen Have to Live on Campus at TAMU?

No — Texas A&M University at College Station does not require freshmen to live on campus.
