The OSU Academic Calendar 2026-2027 has important dates and deadlines like the last day to drop a class and end-of-semester options (such as pass/no pass or late withdrawal).

Staying on top of the Ohio State University (OSU) academic calendar is essential for planning everything from class registration to graduation.

OSU operates on a semester system, with each semester lasting about 15 weeks, including fall and spring terms, plus an optional summer session that runs a shorter schedule.

In 2012, Ohio State University transitioned from a quarter calendar to a semester calendar, with the first semester being held in the Summer Term of 2012.

The summer term is condensed but still provides full academic credit, and OSU typically does not hold regular classes on Memorial Day.

Full-time enrollment requires at least 12 credit hours per semester, and undergraduates need around 120 credit hours to graduate, which usually takes four years.

As for tuition at Ohio State, one semester at OSU costs approximately $5,400 for in-state students and over $17,000 for out-of-state students, with annual costs doubling that.
