Most classes at MacEwan meet for three hours per week over the semester. You can even load up to 5 subjects with program approval, but bear in mind each additional course impacts both your workload and semester fees (domestic full‑time tuition averages around CAD 4,700 per semester).

To stay in good standing, you need a minimum GPA for MacEwan of 2.0; that’s also the GPA for MacEwan’s graduation. Aim higher, achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above, and you’ll graduate with distinction. If you hit roughly a 3.75 in any term, you’ll earn a spot on the Dean’s List.
