GGC Academic Calendar 2026-2027: Important Dates

The GGC academic calendar 2026-2027 is the primary operational guide for undergraduate students, faculty, and administrative staff at Georgia Gwinnett College in Lawrenceville.

Operating under the governance of the University System of Georgia (USG), this comprehensive schedule details every key date across the fall, spring, and summer terms—including class start dates, registration access windows, fee payment deadlines, university holidays, final exams, and commencement ceremonies.

Georgia Gwinnett College operates on a traditional semester structure consisting of two standard 15-week fall and spring terms, complemented by a flexible summer term.

To serve a diverse student body, GGC offers coursework through full-length 15-week sessions, accelerated 8-week mini-mesters (Session A and Session B), and statewide eCore online sections.

To maintain full-time status for financial aid, housing, and athletics, undergraduates must enroll in at least 12 credit hours per term. However, to complete a standard 123-credit bachelor’s degree within four years, GGC recommends a “15-to-Finish” model of 15 credits per semester.

3. GGC Fall 2026 classes start on Monday, August 10, 2026. It is the first day of classes.
4. Classes for the Full Session and Session A begin on Monday, August 10, 2026.
5. The last day to add or drop courses for Session A is Thursday, August 13, 2026.
6. The last day to add or drop courses for the Full Session is Sunday, August 16, 2026.
7. Mid-term grades for Session A are due on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.
