The UQ Academic Calendar 2026‑2027 schedule contains all the important dates and deadlines you need to succeed at the University of Queensland, from enrolment and fee payment due dates to course add/drop deadlines and timetable pick‑up windows.

The University of Queensland follows a two‑semester structure:

  • Semester 1: Late February to late May, followed by a mid‑semester break and exams in June.
  • Semester 2: Late July to late October, with a short break and exams in early November.

Each main semester delivers about 13 weeks of teaching (about three months of classes), culminating in dedicated examination periods.

Additionally, UQ offers an optional Summer Semester (often called Semester 3) from mid-November to early February, featuring intensive and accelerated study options for added flexibility.

All key events from when you can pick your timetable in UQ (usually during Orientation Week) to UQ enrolment deadlines, UQ registration deadlines, and course change cut‑offs are clearly listed in the academic calendar.

The calendar helps you plan around academic policies and costs. It flags the academic penalty for UQ (penalties apply if assignments or exams are submitted late without an approved extension) and reminds you of the minimum GPA for UQ progression.

  1. Enrolments for the Summer Semester (2026–2027) open on Monday, June 1, 2026.

  3. My Timetable opens for preferencing on Monday, October 26, 2026, at 12:00 pm (provisional).
  4. Applications for cross-institutional and non-award study in the Summer Semester are due on Saturday, October 31, 2026.
  5. My Timetable preferencing closes on Monday, November 9, 2026, at 9:00 am (provisional).
  6. The due date to enrol is Friday, November 13, 2026.
