Liberty University Academic Calendar 2026-2027 outlines key dates for fall, spring, and summer terms and important deadlines for registration, tuition payments, and more.

The Liberty University Online academic school year also consists of three terms: fall, spring, and summer. Each term consists of three eight-week sub-terms (B, C, and D), and one semester-long sub-term (A). Additionally, intensive courses of varying frequency are offered each semester (J).

This format gives students the flexibility to take courses at a pace that works for them—full-semester classes for those who prefer a steady rhythm, or compressed eight-week sessions for students who want to move faster.

Both on-campus and online students can use these Liberty University academic calendar dates to align their schedules with Liberty’s official term dates.

Liberty University Academic Calendar Fall 2026

1. Faculty return on Monday, August 10, 2026.
2. Faculty Orientation takes place from Tuesday, August 11, 2026, through Tuesday, August 18, 2026.
3. Residence halls open for new students to move in on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. The dining hall opens at 12:00 p.m. for new students on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.
4. Residence halls open for returning students to move in on Friday, August 21, 2026. The dining hall opens for breakfast on Friday, August 21, 2026.
5. Liberty University Fall 2026 classes start on Monday, August 24, 2026. It is the first day of classes for LU resident students.
