The WSU Academic Calendar 2026-2027 contains key semester dates, registration deadlines, and campus breaks. WSU operates on a standard semester system (Fall, Spring, and an optional Summer term) across its campuses, including Pullman, Spokane, Tri-Cities, Vancouver, Everett, and the Global Campus.

A typical full semester runs for 16 weeks, which includes 15 weeks of active instruction and one dedicated final exam week.

WSU Academic Calendar Fall 2026

  1. The first day of instruction for the term, the acceptance of Faculty/Staff tuition fee waiver forms, and late registration with a $25.00 fee begin on Monday, August 24, 2026.
  2. The last day students may add a course online, and the deadline to withdraw from the current term with a full refund is Sunday, August 30, 2026.
  3. The deadline for enrollment prior to a $100 late registration fee, the last day to accept Faculty/Staff tuition fee waiver forms, and the last day a student may receive a refund for special course fees is Friday, September 4, 2026.
  4. Labor Day is observed as an all-university holiday on Monday, September 7, 2026.
  5. The deadline to pay unpaid tuition and mandatory fees, after which a 3% late fee will be assessed, is Thursday, September 10, 2026.
  6. The last day to change enrollment from letter graded to pass/fail, and from credit to audit or audit to credit, is Friday, September 11, 2026.
  7. The deadline for dropping a course without record, the deadline to pay unpaid tuition and mandatory fees with a 5% late fee, and the last day to file a residency application is Tuesday, September 22, 2026.
  8. The deadline to apply for a Graduate Degree and the last day to apply for a Fall 2026 undergraduate, professional degree, or certificate without incurring a late fee is Friday, October 2, 2026.
  9. The deadline to pay unpaid tuition and mandatory fees, after which a 7% late fee will be assessed, is Wednesday, October 7, 2026.
  10. Mid-term grade submission ends on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.
  11. The last day for graduate students to submit a completed Exam Scheduling form via the portal is Thursday, November 5, 2026.
  12. Priority Registration for the Spring semester begins on Monday, November 9, 2026.
  13. Veterans Day is observed as an all-university holiday on Wednesday, November 11, 2026.
  14. The last day to apply for a Graduate Certificate or Degree, the last day to take a final examination for an advanced degree, and the deadline for undergraduate and professional students to withdraw from a course is Friday, November 20, 2026.
  15. Thanksgiving vacation begins on Monday, November 23, 2026, and ends on Friday, November 27, 2026.
  16. The last day to apply for a Fall 2026 undergraduate or professional degree or certificate with a $75 late fee, the last day to add a course with appropriate signatures, the deadline to withdraw from the current term, the last day to apply for Military Residency, the deadline to change from pass/fail to letter graded, and the last day of instruction for the term is Friday, December 11, 2026.
  17. Commencement for the Pullman Campus is held on Saturday, December 12, 2026.
  18. Final examinations begin on Monday, December 14, 2026.
  19. Final examinations end on Friday, December 18, 2026.
  20. Final grade submission ends on Tuesday, December 22, 2026.
  21. Final grades become available for students to view and order official transcripts on Wednesday, December 23, 2026.
  22. The last day to apply for a Fall 2026 undergraduate or professional degree or certificate with a $150 late fee is Wednesday, January 27, 2027.
  23. The last day for undergraduate or professional students to have all requirements completed to be considered a candidate for the Fall 2026 class is Friday, February 5, 2027.

WSU Academic Calendar Spring 2027

  1. Monday, January 11, 2027, is the first day of instruction for the term, the day the university begins accepting Faculty/Staff tuition fee waiver forms, and the day late registration begins with a $25.00 fee.
  2. Sunday, January 17, 2027, is the last day students may add a course online and the deadline to withdraw from the current term with a full refund.
  3. Martin Luther King Jr. Day is observed as an all-university holiday on Monday, January 18, 2027.
  4. Friday, January 22, 2027, is the last day a student may receive a refund for special course fees, the deadline for enrollment prior to a $100 late registration fee, and the last day to accept Faculty/Staff tuition fee waiver forms.
  5. The deadline to pay unpaid tuition and mandatory fees, after which a 3% late fee will be assessed, is Thursday, January 28, 2027.
  6. The last day to change enrollment from credit to audit or audit to credit, and from letter graded to pass/fail, is Friday, January 29, 2027.
  7. Tuesday, February 9, 2027, is the last day to file a residency application, the deadline for dropping a course without record, and the deadline to pay unpaid tuition and mandatory fees before a 5% late fee is assessed.
  8. President’s Day is observed as a class holiday with all university offices remaining open on Monday, February 15, 2027.
  9. The deadline to pay unpaid tuition and mandatory fees, after which a 7% late fee will be assessed, is Wednesday, February 24, 2027.
  10. Mid-term grade submission ends on Wednesday, March 3, 2027.
  11. Friday, March 5, 2027, is the deadline to apply for a Graduate Degree and the last day to apply for a May 2027 undergraduate, professional degree, or certificate without incurring a late fee.
  12. Priority Registration for the Summer semester begins on Monday, March 8, 2027.
  13. WSU Spring Break 2027 begins on Monday, March 15, 2027, and ends on Friday, March 19, 2027.
  14. The last day for graduate students to submit a completed Exam Scheduling form via the portal is Friday, April 9, 2027.
  15. Priority Registration for the Fall semester begins on Monday, April 12, 2027.
  16. The deadline for undergraduate and professional students to withdraw from a course is Friday, April 16, 2027.
  17. Friday, April 23, 2027, is the last day to apply for a Graduate Certificate or Degree and the last day to take a final examination for an advanced degree.
  18. Friday, April 30, 2027, is the last day to apply for Military Residency, the deadline to change from pass/fail to letter graded, the last day to add a course with appropriate signatures, the deadline to withdraw from the current term, the last day of instruction for the term, and the last day to apply for a May 2027 undergraduate or professional degree or certificate with a $75 late fee.
