• Spring Semester: Mirrors Fall with about 16 weeks of instruction plus finals, kicking off in mid‑January after winter break and concluding in early May—including a mid‑semester Spring Break.
• Summer Sessions: Multiple options…Full Summer Session (about 12 weeks) and accelerated mini‐sessions (6–8 weeks each), each with its own registration, add/drop, and fee‑payment deadlines for makeup courses or accelerated study.

2. Spring 2027 early enrollment for currently enrolled senior students (91 credit hours and above) takes place from Wednesday, October 21, 2026, through Thursday, October 22, 2026.
3. Spring 2027 early enrollment for currently enrolled junior students (58 to 90 credit hours) takes place from Friday, October 23, 2026, through Monday, October 26, 2026.
4. Spring 2027 early enrollment for currently enrolled sophomore students (27 to 57 credit hours) takes place from Tuesday, October 27, 2026, through Wednesday, October 28, 2026.
5. Spring 2027 early enrollment for currently enrolled freshman students (0 to 26 credit hours) takes place from Thursday, October 29, 2026, through Sunday, November 1, 2026.
6. Open enrollment for Spring 2027 begins on Monday, November 2, 2026.
7. Spring intersession takes place from Saturday, January 2, 2027, through Sunday, January 10, 2027.
8. The final day before 11:59 p.m. to drop a Spring intersession class via MavLINK and receive a 100% refund is Sunday, January 3, 2027.
9. This is also the final day of intersession to add a course as audit at the half-price tuition rate, which is Sunday, January 3, 2027.
10. The final day before 11:59 p.m. to withdraw from intersession with a grade of “W” and receive a 50% refund is Tuesday, January 5, 2027.
11. The deadline for submitting an application for admission to an undergraduate college for the Spring Semester is Tuesday, January 5, 2027.
12. The final day before 11:59 p.m. to withdraw from intersession with a grade of “W” and receive a 25% refund is Thursday, January 7, 2027.
13. The final day before 11:59 p.m. to withdraw from intersession with a grade of “W,” as well as the final day to change a course to audit or switch between Credit/No Credit grading options, is Friday, January 8, 2027.
14. The last day of intersession classes is Sunday, January 10, 2027.
15. The Spring Semester runs from Monday, January 11, 2027, through Friday, May 7, 2027.
16. UNO Spring 2027 Semester classes begin on Monday, January 11, 2027.
17. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a student and staff holiday with the university closed, is Monday, January 18, 2027.
18. The final day before 11:59 p.m. to drop a Spring Semester course and receive a 100% refund is Tuesday, January 19, 2027.
19. This is also the final day to add a course as audit at the half-price tuition rate, which requires submission of an audit form to the Office of the Registrar, and is Tuesday, January 19, 2027.
20. The Maverick Payment Plan opens on Thursday, January 21, 2027.
21. The final day before 11:59 p.m. to withdraw from a course and receive a 75% refund is Sunday, January 24, 2027.
22. The final day before 11:59 p.m. to withdraw from a course and receive a 50% refund is Sunday, January 31, 2027.
23. The final day before 11:59 p.m. to withdraw from a course and receive a 25% refund is Sunday, February 7, 2027.
24. Spring tuition and fees are due on Tuesday, February 23, 2027, which is also the final day to sign up for the Maverick Payment Plan.
25. The deadline for filing applications for degrees to be conferred in May is Friday, March 5, 2027.
26. UNO Spring Break 2027 runs from Sunday, March 14, 2027, through Sunday, March 21, 2027, during which there are no classes but university offices remain open. Classes resume at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, March 22, 2027.
27. The Maverick Payment Plan second payment is due on Tuesday, March 23, 2027.
28. The final date before 11:59 p.m. to withdraw from a course, change a course to audit, or switch between Credit/No Credit grading options is Friday, April 2, 2027.
29. The Maverick Payment Plan third payment is due on Friday, April 23, 2027.
